Why Bridges?

The Bridges' Difference

From a students’ first day of kindergarten to the excitement of 8th grade, The Bridges Academy serves as our children' s second family.  Working as trusted partners with each family, our staff know each student by name and understand the developmental milestones that take place throughout their educational journey.  Here, curiosity is fostered, creativity is celebrated and friendships are forged.  Each students’ sense of belonging to the community is an instrumental part of their learning.

Why a Private School Might be Right for Your Family.

Your child's education sets the stage for their future success.

Private schools create an environment where your child can develop intellectually, emotionally and socially. Parents who value small class sizes, increased safety, a connected community and dedicated teachers find that private schools are a good fit for their child and provide an optimal education experience.

To set your child up for academic success, consider enrolling in private school. The Bridges Academy offers a quality private school education with individual education pathways for every student.

SMALLER CLASS SIZES

Smaller class sizes create more opportunities for discussion and personal attention, helping students grasp the material more deeply.

EXPECTATION TO SUCCEED

Private schools set the bar high, encouraging students to aim for true success rather than simply meeting the minimum requirements.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Private schools actively partner with families, fostering close communication and strong parent engagement in each child’s learning journey.

Why Toddler-8th Grade?

Research studies show that the K-8 model better supports middle school students.

Clinical psychologist and New York Times best-selling author Michael Thompson supports this study in his book Best Friends, Worst Enemies: Understanding the Social Lives of Children, stating, "If I could design psychologically safe schools, every elementary school in America would go from K through grade 8 and would be no larger than 400 children."

Serving students from age 2 through grade 8, The Bridges Academy offers more than academic excellence. With a close-knit community of about 250 students, children enjoy fewer transitions, build lasting relationships with teachers and peers, and benefit from cross-age tutoring, role modeling, and abundant leadership opportunities — all under one roof.

Small Class Size Matters

Want to know more? Here’s some additional reading on the benefits of small class sizes:

At Bridges, we believe that small class sizes create the ideal learning environment where collaborative and individualized learning can thrive.  The students can receive more customized learning while the teacher has the freedom to get to know his or her students better and can tailor the learning to suit the class.
