Our vision is to be the top independent private school providing students in Early Learning through 8th grade with a rigorous and compelling academic program that focuses on character, confidence, knowledge and innovation through a robust set of programs emphasizing a strong foundation in reading, writing and math as well as STEAM, foreign languages, public speaking, environmental science, and US and global citizenship. Our students will be high-achieving, critical and creative thinkers who are happy and well-balanced with a life-long love of learning.

Academic Curriculum

The  Bridges Academy's program of academics is a challenging, interdisciplinary approach to learning. These subjects are taught at all grade levels:

Language Arts . Spanish . French . Mandarin . Character Education

Social Studies . Visual Arts . STEAM/Technology

Math . Music .Science . Theatre . Public Speaking

 

Subjects such as writing, Engineering and Design, public speaking, and Wellness are added to the curriculum as the students progress through the grades.

In addition, all students participate in our character education programs – a variety of character-building programs and events such as Character Counts, community service projects, Town Meetings and the Buddy Program, that teach ethical values and develop each student’s sense of self​.

Academy Campus

Many classrooms are sized between eight hundred to over one thousand square feet

 

MakerSpace is a hands-on learning space that encourages “real world” exploration and project-based learning activities similar to those found in the workplace

A full-size gym and performing arts stage

A greenhouse and outdoor lunch area for the older students when weather permits

School fields utilized for after school clubs, recess and outdoor learning when weather permits

2 Outdoor Playgrounds and 1 Indoor playground

Toddler Program (2 years old)

Monday/Wednesday/Friday (3-day) 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Tuesday/Thursday (2 day) 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Nursery Program (3 years old)

Monday - Friday (5-day) 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Enrichment Program

Monday - Friday (2,3,4, or 5 days) 12:00 p.m - 3 p.m.

Pre-K Program (4 years old)

Monday - Friday (5-day Full) 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Monday - Friday (5-day Half) 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Enrichment Program for Half day

Monday - Friday (2,3 or 4 days) 12:00 p.m - 3 p.m.

Kindergarten – Eighth Grade:

The school day runs from 8 a.m.-2:50 p.m.
